what is in your soap?
our soaps contain most or all of the following: olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, cocoa butter, water, sodium hydroxide, essential oils and/or fragrance oils.
why should i buy your soap?
our soaps contain nothing but soap. well, sometimes we add stuff that smells good and/or feels good on your skin. the main thing is that our soaps don't have any drying detergents or extra chemicals. the oils are 100% plant based, which means no hormones or antibiotics.
what's with your name? pale blue dot?
several people have asked, what's with the name? and it's always great to see the face of a customer light up when they read "Pale Blue Dot" and laugh because they "get it."
for everyone who doesn't "get it"... and that's okay... we made this little intro for you. enjoy.
why does the soap stick to my counter/shelf/tub ledge/turtle so easily?
in commercial soaps glycerin (a natural product of the soap making process) is separated out and sold as another product. in our soaps the glycerin isn't removed. while glycerin is good for your skin, it is also water soluble which softens the outside of the bar when used and when it dries it tends to stick to whatever surface your have chosen to place it on.
a soap dish that allows air circulation around the bar will help prevent sticking and extend the life of your soap. (we are currently working on developing a super awesome soap pallet for this exact purpose.)
